Claudia Cruz Perez

Claudia is a case manager who joined Emery Law Office in 2025 after interning with us in late 2024. She is kind-hearted and consistently does everything she can to assist our Spanish-speaking clients.

A legal career was always going to be a part of Claudia’s path. Her mother is an attorney in Cuba who specializes in civil law and previously worked as a university professor, teaching lawyers. Claudia followed in her mom’s footsteps, graduating from law school in Cuba in 2014 before immigrating to the United States. She spent a couple of years in Houston before relocating to Kentucky.

Claudia is a bilingual native Spanish speaker who taught herself English while working as a server, bartender, and truck driver upon coming to America. After determining that she wanted to pursue a career in law, as she had initially intended, she interned with us, leaving a lasting impression on the team. We could see how much she cared for the Spanish-speaking community and how she wanted to educate them so they could get the help they needed and deserved.

One of Claudia’s favorite things to do is try new restaurants and dishes. She also likes working out and is currently learning to play the guitar with her brother, who also lives in the area. She greatly enjoys spending time with her girlfriend and her dog, Coco.
