Andrea Whittam

Andrea joined Emery Law Office in 2021 as our client intake specialist. Her career in the legal field started by accident over 45 years ago. Andrea’s mother worked in a tall building in downtown Akron and learned through the elevator operator that a local law firm was looking for a receptionist. She jumped at the opportunity and has enjoyed a long career in law ever since.

Although she started her legal career as a receptionist, Andrea quickly explored other avenues in law, going to paralegal school and working as an assistant office manager after moving to Orlando, Florida. She relocated to Louisville over 20 years ago and spent 19 years at her previous firm before joining our team.

With a burning passion for helping others, Andrea has continued to prove herself to the team and our clients. She loves meeting new people and is quick to find solutions when people are upset or confused. Whenever you have concerns or questions, Andrea is quick to jump in and help or point you in the right direction. She provides transparency and clarity whenever needed.

While Andrea has had an illustrious career, some of her most significant accomplishments have taken place outside the workplace. She’s been married for over 37 years and has two loving children, one grandson, and a granddaughter on the way. She is well-traveled and has explored Rome, Paris, London, and the beautiful English countryside. Even though the kids are out of the house and starting families or careers of their own, Andrea still has three loving dogs at home: Daphne, Daisy, and Frankie. Andrea also adores her backyard koi ponds.

Andrea continues to be a warm, steady, and compassionate presence at Emery Law Office.
