Two People Killed in Motorcycle and SUV Crash Near Pleasure Ridge Park

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 7, 2026) — Two people died after a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV near Pleasure Ridge Park Sunday evening.

According to Louisville Metro Police, the crash happened shortly after 6 p.m. at the intersection of Greenbelt Highway and Greenwood Road.

Police said a Kia Sorento was turning left from Greenbelt Highway onto Greenwood Road when it struck a motorcycle traveling northbound on Greenbelt Highway.

The two people on the motorcycle, identified as 62-year-old Robert Smallwood and 58-year-old Andrea Hill, were thrown from the motorcycle during the crash.

Smallwood and Hill were transported to UofL Hospital, where they later died from their injuries. The driver of the Kia was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

LMPD’s Traffic Unit is investigating the cause of the crash. No charges have been filed, and investigators will work with the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office to determine whether any charges are appropriate.
